You Are Not Failing Your Dog. You Just Need the Right Support.

If your dog's behaviour feels bigger and more complex than basic training can fix, a behaviour consultation is where we start. Real answers, real plans, real progress.

I Understand How Hard This Can Be

Living with a dog who is struggling can be genuinely exhausting. Whether it is the dread before every walk, the constant vigilance, the embarrassment, or just the sheer weight of worrying about your dog, I want you to know something important.

You are not alone. Your dog is not broken. And it does not have to stay this way.

I have been there myself with my own rescue dog, and I know how desperate it can feel when nothing seems to work. Which is exactly why I take behaviour so seriously, and why I approach every consultation with both professional knowledge and real human understanding.

What is a Behaviour Consultation?

A behaviour consultation is a deeper, more thorough look at what is going on for your dog. Unlike a standard training session, we take time to really understand the history, the triggers, the patterns, and the underlying reasons behind the behaviour.

As a trainee Clinical Canine Behaviourist, I use a science-backed approach that looks at the whole picture, not just the surface behaviour. From there, we build a clear, practical management and behaviour modification plan that you can actually implement in real life.

This is not about quick fixes or dominance theory. It is about genuinely understanding your dog and giving them (and you) real tools to feel better.

Understanding your dog

What Can Behaviour Consultations Help With?

ðŸšĻ Reactivity

Lunging, barking, or going over threshold at other dogs, people, bikes, traffic, or anything else. Reactivity is one of the most common and most misunderstood challenges, and there is so much we can do to help.

😟 Anxiety & Fear-Based Behaviour

Does your dog seem worried, shut down, or scared in certain situations? Fear-based behaviour needs understanding and patience, not punishment. We will work on building genuine confidence.

🏠 Separation Anxiety

Struggling to leave your dog alone? Separation anxiety is a real welfare issue and needs a careful, step-by-step approach. I can help you build a plan that works for your specific situation.

⚠ïļ Aggression

Growling, snapping, or biting can feel scary and overwhelming, but aggression is always communication. Understanding the why is the first step to making things safer and better.

ðŸĶī Resource Guarding

If your dog guards food, toys, spaces, or people, this is something we can work on carefully and effectively with the right approach.

😰 Generalised Stress & Overwhelm

Sometimes dogs are just struggling with life in general. If your dog seems chronically stressed, unable to settle, or easily overwhelmed, a consultation can help us understand what is going on.

How a Behaviour Consultation Works

1

Initial Consultation

We start with a thorough consultation where I gather a full history of your dog and the behaviour. This covers everything from their background and routine to the specific triggers and how the behaviour has developed over time.

2

Assessment & Plan

After our consultation, I put together a clear written behaviour modification plan tailored specifically to your dog. No vague advice, a real, step-by-step plan you can follow.

3

Follow-Up Support

Behaviour change takes time, and I do not just leave you to it! Follow-up sessions are available to check in on progress, adjust the plan as needed, and keep you on track.

Consultations are available in person or virtually anywhere in the UK.

A Note on Qualifications

I am currently training to become a Clinical Canine Behaviourist. This means I work within the scope of my current training and knowledge, and I will always refer you to a fully qualified Clinical Animal Behaviourist or your vet if your dog's needs fall outside of what I can safely help with. Your dog's welfare always comes first.

Behaviour Consultation FAQs

If I feel your dog's needs are beyond my current scope of practice, I will always tell you honestly and point you in the right direction. Getting you the right help is more important to me than taking on a case I cannot do justice to.
Absolutely not. I use only positive, force-free, science-backed methods. Punishment-based approaches can make behaviour problems significantly worse, and I will never recommend them.
Behaviour change is not overnight, and anyone who tells you otherwise is not being honest with you! Timescales vary hugely depending on the behaviour, the dog, and the consistency of implementation. I will always give you realistic expectations.
Not always, but for some complex cases it can be really helpful to have your vet involved, particularly if there could be a medical component to the behaviour. I will advise you on this during our initial consultation.
